Consistent Fe content and optimized metallization parameters, sourced from premier DRI plants in Odisha & West Bengal.
We specialize in trading and supplying high-quality direct reduced iron (DRI) pellets to leading induction furnaces and electric arc furnace operators in North and West India. Unlike conventional iron ore lumps, sponge iron pellets offer uniform sizing and shape parameters, reducing furnace heat losses and optimizing charging speed.
By managing strict laboratory quality parameters (assuring total Fe content and degree of metallization) and bulk logistics transit through railway rakes, we provide secondary steel manufacturers with consistent metallurgical charge materials.
| Parameter | Typical Limit |
|---|---|
| Total Iron (Fe-Total) | ~89.0% - 91.0% |
| Metallic Iron (Fe-Met) | ~81.0% - 83.5% |
| Degree of Metallization | ~90.0% – 92.5% |
| Carbon (C) | 0.15% – 0.25% |
| Sulphur (S) | ≤ 0.035% |
| Phosphorus (P) | ≤ 0.065% |
| Sizing | 9 mm – 16 mm |
| Bulk Density | 1.8 – 2.0 MT/m³ |
Note: The above parameters are industry representative values. Lab analysis reports (COA) are provided at the dispatch railway yard.
Sponge iron pellets have a uniform spherical shape and consistent sizing (9-16mm) compared to ore lumps. This ensures better permeability of the burden in the kiln or furnace, resulting in a more uniform reduction process, higher thermal efficiency, and lower slag volume.
We partner with premier DRI kilns and pelletization plants located in the iron-rich zones of Odisha and West Bengal. Our relationships enable us to secure reliable quantities of high-metallization pellets.
Sponge iron pellets are supplied in loose bulk cargo. We manage consolidation and railway rake shipment (approx. 2,500+ MT per rake) or local delivery via heavy multi-axle trailers (minimum 100+ MT) to secondary steel complexes.
